Would it be accurate to conclude from the response, that the
Electronic Voting Machines provides less protection to the anonymity of
the voter than the system with paper ballots we used earlier? (Refer : letter no. RTI/2010-EMS/641 dated 1 May 2010)
Response: The information sought therein is not covered under the definition of 'information' under section 2(f) of the RTI Act,2005.

Is it technically possible to determine which voter voted for whom in the process of electronic voting?
Response: "By attaching a device called the 'decoder' to the EVM a statement of voting data showing the order in which the voters voted and to whom they voted may be printed. This is done only on the orders of competent court, such information can be printed and shown."
