 Important Questions of the RTI Application and Answers 
Between April 2010 and February 2012, we sought to find out about recommendations of the investigations by the Indian government, on the incident of hacking of Indian computers, in order to interact with the investigating agency and make suggestions. Here is our conversation with various ministries of the government through RTIs.

 
Query: 02-12-2010, to Department of Information Technology (DIT) on hacking of computers in India. Has an investigation been launched ? Of the total systems hacked, what percentage of them were running Microsoft Windows? By when can security recommendations emanating from the investigation be expected?

Query: 05-10-2009, to Controller of certifying Authorities (CCA), on Reason for blocking of 13 websites. What process was followed.

6 November 2009, saying "implementation of orders for blocking of websites are carried out by the ISP on the instructions of Dept. of Telecommunications." (Application forwarded to DoT for providing necessary details)

Query: 17-12-2009, to DoT, same questions while referring to letter of CCA dated 6 November 2009
Response:
16-12-2009 saying "Information is not being provided under Clause 8(1)(a) of RTI Act, 2005.



Query: 18-08-2009, to Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), on Who executes the order of blocking for internet content? (With reference to blocking of the website savitabhabhi.com)

on 18-08-2009, to CERT-In, on Is there any notification on change of authority ......... on issuing orders for blocking.

Response: Common reply dated 23-09-2009 saying "Orders relating to interception of information are issues by CCA under sec. 69 of the IT Act 2000"
